The most northern camping site in Finland
Nuorgam Holiday Village is situated in the northernmost place in Finland and the European Union. It's right next to the Norwegian border and only a 30 minutes drive from the Artic Ocean.
There are Urho Kekkonen and Lemmenjoki national parks for you to explore. Kaldoaivi wilderness area starts from the site and it's huge - 2 924 square metres. It's the largest wilderness area in Finland. There are so much to explore for all nature lovers.
The camping site provides services for motorhomes and caravans. There are also some cottages and apartments for accomodation. If you really want to have a taste of authentic local life you may sleep in a wilderness cabin.
Fresh water, toilets, showers and sauna are available as well as electricity and camp kitchen. Camping site is open between 5.6 - 20.9, but the village itself is open a year-round.
I have this site on my bucket list and I hope I could visit there in late May or early June when the mornings feel still a bit chilly and fresh.
